Petite Feet
Like most children’s boutiques, the inspiration for Petite Feet was a child, Peyton Nicole. Peyton is a beautiful and precocious four-year-old little girl who loves princess dresses and dirt, Barbies and bugs. One day she needs and wants indestructible rain boots, and the next day, pink polka dot Mary Janes.
As for Mom, a former middle school teacher from Southern California, opening Petite Feet made perfect sense from every angle. Children’s shoes were difficult to find locally and driving a few hours to shop with a preschooler was not enjoyable for anyone involved. Opening a boutique would also solve the “stay home or back to work” dilemma. With a second child on the way, launching Petite Feet as an online boutique later to transition into a storefront was ideal. With the support of family and our many “mom friends” our boutique has become a reality.
We cannot wait to start hosting trunk shows and bringing adorable baby and children’s shoes right to your doorstep. Thank you for supporting another “child inspired- mom business”.
Milan Baby
Milan Baby was created by a mom who set out to provide cute, stylish clothing and accessories for the little ones we love. Searching to find the perfect hair clip, diaper bag or outfit has always been a challenge with limited choices in our area. Not only did the lack of product availability create a need, but also the inconvenience of driving across town or even shopping while trying to entertain a toddler was not in my mind a relaxing way to shop for my children. The idea of opening an on-line store had crossed my mind in the past, but finally came to fruition as I was shopping in a boutique for a baby shower gift with my toddler. She ran through the racks of clothing, insisted that she need to use the restroom which was not available to customers and then completed the trip by lying on the floor crying to leave out of boredom while I made my hasty purchase. It was then that I realized that there are shoppers out there like me who would benefit from on-line boutique style or trunk show shopping to keep our sanity. To pay tribute to the toddler in my life who has helped me create this idea, the name Milan baby came from her middle name, which is Milan. At the time of naming her it was just cute and different. Who knew that Milan (the capital of fashion and my daughter) would inspire a mom of two to create a relaxing boutique shopping experience?
